Introducing The Camby, Arizona’s First Property from Marriott’s Autograph Collection Hotels

If you’re looking to bring your dream desert getaway to life in Phoenix, Arizona, The Camby's got you covered.

The recently opened independent luxury lifestyle resort is Arizona’s first property from Marriott’s Autograph Collection Hotels. The 11-story location used to be the Ritz-Carlton Phoenix, which closed down in July 2015. Although the hotel does not bear the Marriott name, it succeeds in bringing the brand’s exceptional guest services and contemporary flair on board.

Let’s just say it holds fast to the chain’s motto: “Exactly Like Nothing Else.”

Daring, chic, and vibrant. The Camby (pronounced Cam-bee), which quietly made its way into the public eye on December 23, is located on 24th Street and Camelback Road. It actually got its name from Camelback Mountain, which can be viewed from half of the hotel’s 277 rooms.

Interested in a challenging, breathtaking hike? The trail head to the summit is only a few miles away. Intended to draw in a new demographic, especially guests ages 35-60, the redesign incorporates the beauty of the surrounding desert landscape and offers guests a resort they’ll never have to leave if they don’t have to.

With new dining options including The Artizen Crafted American Kitchen & Bar,Bee’s Knees, and Revelry Rooftop Bar, as well as a boutique spa, remote check-in, fitness center, 20,000 square feet of professional meeting space, and a swanky rooftop pool, there’s really no reason to step outside the lobby doors until check-out.

The Artizen was created with the intention of being a neighborhood hot spot and will be serving up some fantastic fare and cocktails, like the Croque-Madame (bone-in pork chop, sunny side egg, mustard, country loaf), Pasilla Pepper Calamari with chile aioli and lime, and Under the Desert Sun (Bombay Sapphire, Domaine de Canton, lemon, simple syrup, orange bitters).

Rates at The Camby begin in the low $300s. To make your reservations or find out more about the hotel, visit the website here.
